Minecraft Hypixel Skyblock is an MMORPG and the most popular game on the Hypixel network in Minecraft. More than 200,000 players enter Skyblock on a daily basis, and more than half of them don't know how to progress in the game anymore. This is because players lack the money to do anything. How could they earn more money? 


In this blog, we explore the best money-making strategy for early to early-mid game players.




The Money Making Method



Resources Required

For this money making method, all you need is bare minimum money. You barely require 50k coins to start. The maximum amount of coins you would need for this money making method is  ~3,000,000 coins for maximum efficiency.

How Can I Get the Initial Money?

It is relatively easy to get 50k coins. You can make a gold shovel and enchant it with efficiency V. After this, head down to the Farming Islands and then into the Mushroom Desert. Once you are there, you can insta-mine sand for ~20 minutes or so. Whenever your inventory fills up, you should convert the sand into enchanted sand through the crafting section of your Skyblock menu.  

After you are done with this, you can head over to the Bazaar and sell your sand instantly or create a sell offer and you will have way more 50k coins.

What is the Bazaar?

The Bazaar is the stock market for resources in Skyblock. Players can put up sell-offers of of listed items sellable and earn money from other players who buy resources from the Bazaar. There is another profitable money-making method for players known as Bazaar Flipping. However, this money-making method is a bit more risky and far more expensive.


How does this money making method work?



With the addition of the Dwarven Mines V2 update, a place known as the Crystal Nucleus has been added. In this place, you can place 5 unique gemstone crystals for loot drops from the Crystal Nucleus. This action can be repeated every time you have to get these 5 unique crystals. Along with this, some of these items are used in crafting recipes and in large quantities.

To obtain these crystals, you need to do certain quests or defeat certain mobs. This money-making method revolves around buying and reselling quest items of the Crystal Nucleus on the 'Buy it Now' section of the Auction House. 

This money-making method in general is referred to as 'Auction Flipping'.

These items have a relatively high demand due to the fact they are constantly needed for opening loot drops in the Crystal Nucleus. Along with this, the price of these items vary greatly on the auction house during different periods periods of time.

How do I get these items?

Once again, this money making method is fully dependant on the auction house and therefore, you obtain these items through the auction house.

To get these items, you need to search them on the auction house menu, sort the items by 'Lowest Price' and select the 'BIN' filter. After this, keep searching and looking through the front page of each item until you find a sell offer lower than all the other items (generally a difference of 40k coins or higher) and buy it as quick as you can.

At what price should I sell these items?

The prices of these items change drastically every single hour. If you want your items to sell quickly on the auction house, you can sell your items on the 'Buy it Now' (BIN) section and undercut the person selling the item you're selling by 1 coin. However, a better tactic would be to see all the prices at which people are selling and sell the item at a price higher than the lowest BIN price.

Tips and Tricks for Auction Flipping


  • You can only sell 14 different items at a time on the auction house, so I recommend not buying anymore than 14 items at a time.

  • Sometimes, some items are market-manipulated (someone buys all  the stock of an item and relists everything for a very high price hoping to earn some money). If the price of an item is unusually high, that means someone is likely market-manipulating that item and you should avoid buying it. However, this comes in handy when you are selling items as you can make more money.
